The existing, beloved Discovery Center for the Sulphur Creek Nature Center (SCNC) has recently completed a re-envisioning exercise.
In June 2025, HARD Board of Directors approved moving forward with a new design scheme for the center, instead of a modest renovation approach on the 55-year old structure.
To jump start this effort, the HARD Foundation received a generous $250,000 contribution from the Martins Family Foundation to begin the Conceptual Design process. In late 2024, Noll & Tam Architects (NTA) of Berkeley, CA was selected for this effort. NTA heads a collaborative team with Studio Terpeluk (Assoc. Architect & Exhibit Design) and Weldon Design (Interpretive Design).
