Project Description
This project provides for the acquisition of 2.6 acres of land at the northeast corner of Mission Boulevard and Mattox Road in Ashland for future park and recreational facilities.
Demolition of the building at Mission & Mattox has been completed, and existing paving has been retained so that the site can host temporary recreational amenities as part of an interim activation plan. The improvements include:
- Pickleball courts
- Basketball court
- Multi-use court
- Picnic tables
- Bike skills course
- Play area
- Off-street parking
- Food truck area
The opening event was held on August 12, 2025
