Resolution No. R-2324-22 AGREEMENT WITH JPB DESIGNS FOR PALMA CEIA PARK RENOVATION PROJECT
Palma Ceia Park is a 5.7-acre community park located on 27600 Decatur Way, Hayward, CA 94545. The Park was developed in 1957 for the City of Hayward, Hayward Unified School District and Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. Due to its proximity to Palma Ceia Elementary School, the park is an inevitable recreation destination for the community. Park amenities include two picnic areas, play area, fitness court, pathway, and a restroom.
Palma Ceia Park is a central hub for the community providing access to the nearby school and community center, picnic areas and a playground. Exterior enhancements to the Park include walkway improvements to drainage, installation of new site picnic furnishings, barbecues and drinking fountains. Users who enjoy the walking pathways will appreciate fresh paving and uniform surfaces. New Playground equipment is being installed in an enlarged play area. Two picnic areas will serve the playground and the beautiful tree canopy.
Park improvements were designed to enhance these programs with picnic areas and walkways aligned to provide safe areas to exercise, gather, and enjoy the nature in the Park.
