Upgrades to the picnic areas consist of new paving, signage, trees, waste receptacles, picnic tables, benches, and BBQ grills. The project renovated six group picnic facilities at Castro Valley Community Park and four group picnic facilities at Weekes Community Park in Hayward. Construction was completed in fall 2021.
