Project Description
This project provides for the renovation of existing tennis courts at various locations throughout the District. Courts at Southgate Park have been converted to Pickleball, which is a fun and rapidly growing sport played on a smaller court with a lower net, paddles and a lightweight ball. Improvements include asphalt pavement, tennis and pickleball nets and posts, court surfacing and striping, chain link fence, chain link gates, benches, windscreens, and signage.
Project Locations:
- Castro Valley Community Park, Castro Valley. Three tennis courts were renovated. – Completed
- Southgate Park, Hayward. Two tennis courts were converted to six Pickleball Courts. – Completed
